News for the whole state

The New Mexico Current is a news project run by Darrell Crawford, serving readers across New Mexico. Our coverage includes schools, government, business, the environment, culture and practical community information.

How our reporting works

Our current articles include AI-assisted curation and service guides. Each brief identifies its sources and dates. A curated brief is not an original interview or firsthand reporting. We label opinion and sponsored material separately.

Funding and independence

The publication is being developed as an advertising-supported business. Advertisers do not buy editorial conclusions. Paid placements will be labeled, and material conflicts will be disclosed. Advertising partnerships and revenue are not claimed unless confirmed.
